80s floppy disk

Floppy disks were the primary external storage tools of the 1980s. The 5-1/4 inch disk format, which dominated the early '80s, held about 110 kilobytes of data.

By the end of the '80s, the 3.5-inch format overtook the 5-1/4 inch. It stored a whopping 1.4 megabytes.
